《Dangerous》专辑中最后发行的单曲，于93年在英美两地同步发行。它在英国的最高排名为#33并在前40位停留了3周。该曲成为Michael Jackson多年来成绩最差的一曲。在美国，该曲根本就没有上榜。

该曲的失败有三个理由：首先，该曲是在性骚扰指控发生期间发行，可谓生不逢时；其次，该曲封面及MV的制作品位也让人不敢恭维且内容毫无新意；最后，该曲没有多少商业价值，因此几乎没有得到电台的点播。如果性骚扰指控从未发生过，该曲的表现或许会好些。

该曲在世界范围内的成绩也不理想，但它却成了法国单曲榜的前10名。

现场表演：

“Gone too Soon”于93年在克林顿总统的就职典礼上同“Heal the World”一起做了一次现场表演。在演唱中MJ将歌词"like a perfect sun...flower that it just beyond your reach"中的“sun”换成了“flower”。显然这原本是“Gone Too Soon”歌曲小样里的初稿歌词。
