相比之下，同时代的天后麦当娜（Madonna）在2007年只卖出了392,440套音像制品（包括《Confessions Tour》的发行），流行天后玛丽亚·凯莉（Mariah Carey）只卖出了353,281套（包括《The Adventures of Mimi Tour》）的发行，而Michael的妹妹珍妮（Janet Jackson）则只卖出了123,460套，惠特妮·休斯顿则更只卖出了96,753套音像作品。
因此，Michael Jackson在没有任何宣传和没有任何新作发行的情况下，在全球唱片销售遭遇惨重滑坡的今天，取得这样的销售，也相当不易。
